Compared to editions in other languages, English Wikipedia is regarded as exhibiting less cultural bias due to its wider pool of editors. Despite facing frequent criticism regarding its reliability in the 2000s (Wikipedia has gradually enhanced its credibility), garnering more recognition as a reliable fact-checking source from the late 2010s into the 2020s. Systemic bias (especially against women and in ideological contexts), has been a point of criticism for the platform.
